“There is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work. Joy will accompany him all the days of the life God has given him under the sun.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:22; 8:15
Our Purpose
We are a fellowship: followers of Jesus Christ, brothers in His name. We commit ourselves to the improvement of our masculine souls—to mirror God’s image and to practice our faith together as men. We seek to better our families, our friendships, and our communities by becoming a living sacrifice. We forsake the vengence in our hearts, abandon rivalry, and reject the scapegoating of others. We accept the sinfulness of ourselves and bear the full weight of our humanity in oneness with Christ.
In this, we are made whole. In this, we become brothers. In this, we rise from the dead.
Core Values
Love
As men we are called to love our wives, our children, and our friends. As Christians, we are called to love our enemies. Both those whom we call brother and those whom we call foe, love is to be our practice to build each other up and to build bridges of peace with those whom we disagree. We commit ourselves to peace through love just as we protect those we hold dear through love. In doing so we demonstrate our commitment to Christ.
Courage
Love takes courage. In courage we face our fears. In courage we are drawn to action. As such, we must lean into that which frightens our mortal souls and commit to face it so that fear no longer holds sway over us. We seek courage not only through our individual efforts, but through the comradery of fellowship. Courage binds us to Christ’s integrity, and when we falter, lifts us up in darkness to the light of God’s Word.
Strength
In courage we gain strength. Like a single straw that is weak until bound together with many, it does not break. Our fellowship seeks to bind men together and build each other up. This is accomplished through our individual efforts, as well as the corporate body of community. When adversity strikes, we prepare ourselves as one. Each man is not alone in his struggles, but is built up by the presence of others. From this, we share the knowledge from life’s lessons and grow strong in body, mind, and spirit.
Wisdom
Through strength we gain wisdom. Wisdom provides to us the proper requirements to make sound decisions. It enhances our discernment to know truth from falsehood, fact from fiction. Wisdom guides us to execute the purpose of our life despite the fires of adversity. It teaches us that through suffering we gain freedom and we are born again. It directs our minds not to the past or future, but to our present where all things are manifest.
